Am I correct in assuming that the fact that my solicitor is not identified on the Hinckley and Rugby Conveyancing panel that there is a problem with the standard of her conveyancing?
It would not be wise to jump to that conclusion. There are all sorts of perfectly reasonable explanations. It is probably the case that Hinckley and Rugby have referred the matter to their valuer. The reason why Hinckley and Rugby may not want to accept indemnity insurance is because it does not give them any reassurance that the double glazing correctly and safely installed. It merely protects against enforcement action which is very unlikely anyway.

A lender would not issue a mortgage until they have details of a lawyer on their panel. It can take a few weeks for Hinckley and Rugby to deal with your lawyers application to be on the Hinckley and Rugby conveyancing panel. There's no guarantee that your solicitors will be accepted.
