In recent months the most common searches are currently, Santander conveyancing panel, Halifax panel of property lawyers, Nationwide conveyancing panel, HSBC approved solicitors. Other lender panel searches include: Lloyds, Yorkshire Bank, Coventry Building Society. Members of the public are likely to want to a panel approved firm where they have a specific lender involved on a conveyancing transaction such as buying a house or lease extension.

What if has never been on on a my prefered lenders Approved Panel? Is it possible for me to use my firm notwithstanding that they may excluded from the lenders list of approved lawyers?
You have a number of options available to you here
  1. Carry on with your law firm but the lender will need to instruct a lawyer on their conveyancing panel.
  2. Get a new firm to act in the purchase, obviously checking they are on the bank conveyancing panel.
  3. Ask to apply to join the bank lender panel
Are there any apps to help search for a local solicitor on a specific conveyancing panel? I have a car and am prepared to travel up to 10 kilometers to meet the conveyancer.
You can use the find a conveyancing panel search on this website. Please choose the lender and your location and you will see a number of lawyers located nearest you. Alternatively you can type in the name of your proposed law firm and see if they are listed as being on the bank’s solicitor panel.
